About Us
Owners of Oriental Rug Palace, Niranjan and Asha Agarwal have been exporting rugs for years before moving to the United States from India in 1983. Niranjan, known to his friends and clients as Nikki, began importing rugs and supplying retailers around the area. In 1989 they opened up their own retail storefront, featuring individually selected handmade rugs as well as cleaning, repair and appraisal services. In 2004 after fifteen years and three addresses, they expanded their 8,000 square foot Oriental rug showroom to include a 5,400sq/ft Furniture Gallery. With the new ability to offer furniture, art and accessories, the already stable company was given new life.
